Dana was born in the small logging community of Magalloway, Maine. He has worked in the logging business with his dad for 35 years.

Logger Rescue was founded in Berlin, New Hampshire in 1987 to meet the needs of the forest product industry and to help educate those people who fall under OSHA guidelines 1910 & 1928.

In 1994, Advanced Logger Rescue was designed by Dana to further educate the industry in how to become the rescuers until the local fire and rescue personnel arrive on the scene, to protect both the patient and the rescuers from becoming victims themselves.
